MiniDive, underwater exploration for everyone!

We tested for you the MiniDive, a mini diving tank that allows you to stay between 5 and 10 minutes underwater, to observe fish and seabed. It can also have a more practical use, to check the condition of the hull of a boat or the operation of the siphon of a pool for example. This mini dive tanks is manually recharged thanks to the pump supplied with (it is possible to use other means such as a mini electric compressor), it is the interest of the product! Also, it is important to specify that the MiniDive is intended for the general public, it is not necessary to have notions of diving to use it!

1st test in the pool!

To give us an opinion on the product and its operation, we took advantage of the good weather to swim in the beautiful Domaine de Charlyne, close to Bourg-en-Bresse. A magical place where atypical accommodation and various activities activities surround a lake clearly ideal for this kind of test. Change of scenery guaranteed! To understand how the product works and be ready to use it properly, we first performed several tests in the pool area. First, we prepared the material. To do this, you must give the mini tank to the pump, then pump to compress the air inside (the maximum pressure is about 200 bar). I'll be honest with you, it was the most complicated part! After 10 minutes and some unsuccessful attempts, I still plunged into the user manual to succeed in using the product (for me, I had to do it before)! In short, once the system is operational, simply attach the bottle to the harness, which itself clings to both the back and around the neck. Everything is quite comfortable and is not bulky at all. Then, place to the real test!

First impression, if the weight of the product (2kg) is felt somewhat outside the water, it does not feel absolutely when you are immersed, an excellent point that allows for total freedom of movement and no embarrassment! As for autonomy once under water, well it depends on the effort made (logical). If you swim constantly, the range is reduced, and vice versa! So you can stay underwater for a long time by controlling your breathing.

And splash, in the lake!

Once taken in hand realized, out of the question to stay a second more in the pool! Head to the beautiful lake of the Charlyne area to make a more concrete test and really enjoy the finality of the MiniDive!

So, what is it really? First, it is important to note that once the operation is well understood, the use is simple and the system is rather practical. Indeed, it only takes a few seconds to equip the harness and the tank, however, it takes a lot of time to fill it! Speaking of filling, if the use is occasional the pump is enough, if the use is more regular, it is better to opt for the compressor!

Splash, here we go! The sensation is pleasant enough, we feel free to swim where we want, the material is not felt. I found the ideal MiniDive for recreational snorkeling, much more than the traditional mask and snorkel! Of course, the autonomy is limited and does not allow the MiniDive to claim to have the same functionality as real diving tanks, but it is a good compromise! In addition, the mini-tanks are sold individually, which allows, if you have more, to only have to change tanks when one of them is empty, and to resume instantly diving !
